I started working with Julie four months after having my first baby. I was mentally overwhelmed having just returned to work in a new role (in addition to the new role as mom) and worse had no pants that fit to show up to work in. My sister's wedding was a few months away and I didn't want the photos to be a permanent visual of me feeling like a hot mess displayed forever on my moms mantle.
Working with Julie was fantastic! We took the daunting task of getting back into a healthy routine and broke it into small goals each week. Before I knew it, the small goals had rolled into structure and habits and I was achieving my physical, mental and spiritual fitness goals. I built up my tool kit and energy levels and felt a renewed sense of accomplishment and control in my life. Even on the weeks I didn’t fully meet every goal as I intended, I knew Julie wouldn't be judgmental. It was great to have a cheerleader on those tough days and accountability at the end of the week to help push me through temptation.
After all the hard work, I was so proud to send Julie the pictures from my sister's wedding of me on the dance floor - confident, proud and full of vigor! I am so thankful for her help coaching me through this period and would highly recommend the program for those committed to making a positive change in their overall health and wellness.

I went from feeling helpless and disappointed in my running to competing with confidence in a 10k and trusting my own ability to prevent re-injury. I identified and learned ways to tackle barriers that were getting in my way of spending more time in nature. I worked through indecision and found ways to express what I want professionally. This resulted in a new position at work that I am thrilled about! I leave coaching calls with Julie feeling energized, confident and ready to tackle the day. Prior to working with Julie, I had a history of yo-yo dieting, overeating and overindulging. I did not know the meaning of moderation and was continually using negative self-talk to try to change my habits. Working with Julie gave me a new perspective: changes to health habits take time and patience; I needed to experiment to find out what works for me; and, I can be compassionate with myself.
Julie's non-judgmental, positive approach taught me that even if I didn't 100% succeed with a goal, I learned important lessons on the journey that still made the process a success! Significant outcomes I experienced were to be more mindful of what I eat and drink to practice moderation, methods to reduce stress and through these activities, found increased energy and self-compassion.
I continue to practice mindfulness and self-compassion, and eat and drink in moderation. In the future, I expect that I will continue to feel healthier, to enjoy myself and to learn even more healthy habits. Julie's enthusiasm, acceptance and empathy reduced any fear of judgment or failure. Her willingness and ability to find creative solutions introduced new tools that I would have never considered. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Julie and for the changes that I experienced while working with her!
